A Building Process You can Rely on.
Building a custom home is the biggest project most people will ever tackle in their lifetimes. Fortunately, you are not the first one to attempt it. Horst Builders has been building homes and outdoor structures for more than a decade and over this time we have worked hard to implement a process you can rely on to produce quality craftsmanship on time and on budget. We know how important your project is to you, and we work hard to ensure you are happy with more than just the results but your whole building experience.
Planning
When planning to construct a home, there are several elements to consider. Your budget, location, and deadlines are crucial to the scope of your construction project. Your ideas are important to this part of the process. We’ll work with you to define these elements early on so that scheduling and construction go smoothly.
Conceptual Design.
We’ll take the information we gathered during the planning phase and turn it into a conceptual design. This concept drawing gives you an idea of what your home could look like. Once again, you’ll have the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas with your designer to determine some of the most important details of your building project.
Pre-Construction.
During pre-construction, we work to determine the specific cost, scope, and schedule for your project. Together we’ll consider how to actualize your vision and avoid common pitfalls.. At the end of pre-construction, we’ll develop a work strategy that will guide the construction team to the next step.
Fabrication.
Not every part of your project will be built on site. During this phase, we’ll start to prep custom components and purchase other materials required for your project. Placing orders for doors, windows, and other components is key to having them on-site and ready for installation when the time is right.
Construction.
Finally, watch all the careful planning come together. During construction, we start from the ground up to make your project come to life. Things really start to take shape and we can often move quickly from foundation to framing, to drywall, to all the custom bells, whistles, fits, and finishes.
Punch List.
Put simply, a Punch List is a set of final to-do’s that need to be accomplished before a project can be considered complete. This final phase will enable us to deliver the building to you the way you’d always dreamed. Before occupying your new home or building you will walk through your new space with one of our service specialists and find all of the little details that will make this house feel like home.
